Erica Taylor

She/They | Professional Counseling Associate

I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel safe enough to explore who they are—especially when the answers feel messy, uncertain, or still taking shape. Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of who they are outside of their roles and expectations. Together, we slow down, get curious, and start to rebuild self-compassion and trust in your own voice. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in warmth, humor, and authenticity. I especially love working with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent adults, and those navigating identity, self-worth, boundaries, and life transitions.

Outside of being a therapist, I’m someone who finds peace and connection in nature, whether that’s walking through my neighborhood, camping, or floating down rivers in the summer. I love dancing in my kitchen and spending time with my rescue dog, Chili. When I’m not out and about, you can usually find me regulating my nervous system on the couch in full “burrito mode.”

How I Got Here

My path as a therapist has been shaped by both personal and professional experiences that taught me the power of safe, authentic connection. Growing up, I learned firsthand how empathy and emotional attunement can help people heal—and how the absence of those things can leave deep marks. Over the years, I’ve found myself drawn again and again to spaces where people are searching for meaning, belonging, and understanding.

Working in residential and outpatient settings with children, adolescents, and adults reinforced my belief that people thrive when they feel seen, heard, and accepted exactly as they are. These experiences continue to remind me that healing doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens in relationship. I was drawn to this work because I’ve always found purpose in being a supportive presence. I’m endlessly curious about the human experience: why we feel what we feel, how we cope, and what helps us move toward connection and growth.

At its core, my “why” is rooted in helping people feel less alone in that process—especially those who’ve been told they’re “too much,” “not enough,” or simply don’t fit into the boxes the world tries to put them in. I believe therapy can be a space where we unlearn old narratives, reclaim our voice, and begin to build a kinder, more compassionate relationship with ourselves.

  • My work is guided by acceptance, attunement, creativity, flexibility, humor, and trust. In sessions, you can expect a compassionate, collaborative space to explore both body and mind, clarify your values, and try out new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Together, we’ll make room for both depth and lightness as you build a life that feels more aligned.
