Destiny Cantu
She/Her | Professional Counseling Associate
In our work together, I see you as the expert on your life. My role is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can explore, process, and step into your most authentic self. I’m especially passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients and approach therapy from a sex-positive, affirming, and culturally competent lens.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll probably find me recharging by a body of water with a book in hand, taking in the rhythm of the waves. In the colder months, I love art projects, live music, or cozy nights on the couch. Year-round, dance is one of my greatest joys—I take classes whenever I can and stay connected with my local dance community. These practices help me stay grounded and remind me of the importance of joy, creativity, and movement in everyday life.

How I Got Here
I’ve always believed that the most important part of therapy is the relationship itself. Authenticity, honesty, and trust—on both sides—create the foundation for real healing. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health from Grand Canyon University, where I focused on counseling skills, diagnosis and treatment, multicultural counseling, and ethics. My personal identities as BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ also deeply shape how I show up: with cultural humility, openness, and a genuine respect for the layers that make each of us who we are.
I draw from humanistic, IFS and CPT informed perspectives—always tailoring these approaches to your needs and values. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling both supported and equipped with practical tools you can use in daily life.
